Overview: Prestige Golfshire Club is an 18-hole championship course north of Bengaluru, set beside the Nandi Hills and reached from Nandi Hills Road in Devanahalli. Bob Hunt of PGA Design Consulting created a modern layout whose fairways move across gently rolling ground, with the hills providing a constant visual reference. The researched course record lists a par of 72 and 7,004 yards. Troon manages the golf operation, while the wider Golfshire development adds a substantial resort and residential setting. For a golf traveller, the appeal is the combination of a full championship round, open countryside and an easy link to Bengaluru and the Nandi Hills area.
History: The course belongs to the early-2010s expansion of Bengaluru's golf and hospitality market, with 2011 used for the opening of the present routing. It was developed as the golf centrepiece of the Prestige Golfshire project rather than as an old club course, and the club's official material presents Bob Hunt's 18-hole design as its defining foundation. Troon later became responsible for management and maintenance, helping position the course for membership play, organised amateur events and visiting golfers. The club's continued tournament programme shows how the venue has developed beyond its original real-estate context into a recognised golf destination.
Did You Know? The course is built over roughly 36 hectares within a much larger 275-acre Golfshire development. The official club describes the fairways as undulating through the site and highlights the panoramic Nandi Hills view; the setting is therefore part of the routing experience, not simply a landmark visible from the clubhouse. Prestige Golfshire also runs the Prestige Masters Series, an amateur event that attracts players from India and overseas.
