Overview: Perched in the valleys of Alta Gracia, Córdoba, Potrerillo De Larreta Country Club offers a mountain-valley golf experience. The routing follows the natural contours of the hills, featuring dramatic elevation changes, winding streams, and dry creek beds. Strategic bunkering and fast, undulating greens demand precise iron play and careful reading of the mountain slopes, which can significantly affect the roll of the ball.
History: Opened in 1999, the course was built on a historic 18th-century estate that once belonged to the family of writer Enrique Larreta. The routing was designed by Carlos Larreta with the professional guidance of Marcos Capdepont, aiming to preserve the historical landscape while creating a challenging layout that respects the native flora and natural watercourses.
Did You Know? The historic estate at Potrerillo includes an old colonial-style chapel and family residence dating back to the Spanish colonial era, which sits adjacent to the golf course and serves as a backdrop to the early holes.
