Overview: Portlethen Golf Club, located just south of Aberdeen, is a modern and expansive parkland course designed by the celebrated architect Donald Steel and opened in 1989. The course is built to a championship standard, featuring wide, sweeping fairways and large, multi-tiered greens. It is characterized by its strategic water hazards and the mature Findon Burn which zig-zags across several holes. While a newer addition to the Aberdeenshire golf scene, Portlethen has quickly established itself as a premier venue for regional qualifying and society outings due to its consistent conditioning and robust design.
Did You Know? The club was founded to serve the rapidly growing community south of Aberdeen and was one of the first courses in the region to incorporate modern irrigation and USGA-grade putting surfaces, ensuring high playability throughout the year.
