Overview: Southwest of downtown Portland, Portland Golf Club presents tree-lined fairways, rolling ground, and a classic 6,683-yard par-72 routing within a private club setting. The course's understated character comes from strategic greens and mature landscape rather than excessive hazards or manufactured spectacle.
History: Portland Golf Club was established in 1914, beginning with nine holes on the present site before George Turnbull added the second nine. Robert Trent Jones Sr. later renovated the course, and Dan Hixson's recent work updated greens, bunkers, tees, and irrigation while respecting the historic layout.
Did You Know? Ben Hogan won his first major championship at Portland Golf Club in the 1946 PGA Championship.
