Overview: Situated on the wooded banks of the River Barrow, Portarlington Golf Club is a mature and highly historic parkland course. While the club dates back to 1908, its current configuration was significantly extended by the legendary Eddie Hackett in 1989. Characterized by its lush fairways and its massiveness stands of mature oak and beech timber, Portarlington offers a peaceful and technically engaging round in a secluded forest environment.
Did You Know? The course has hosted numerous major regional amateur events and is famous for its exceptional natural conditioning. Its parkland fairways are particularly scenic in the spring, and the club has maintained a reputation for its warm hospitality and a layout that utilizes the natural slopes of the Barrow valley to create a technical but fair challenge for golfers of all levels.
