Overview: Port Charlotte Golf Club was an 18-hole course in Port Charlotte, historically listed as a par 72 layout of roughly 6,754 yards. The course occupied the property at 22400 Gleneagles Terrace and was part of the area's older golf infrastructure.
History: The course opened in 1959 as The Golf Links of Charlotte Harbor and later became Port Charlotte Golf Club. A 2005 renovation followed an earlier member purchase, but Hurricane Ian destroyed structures and damaged the course in 2022. The course remained closed while Charlotte County acquired the property in 2025, with future use still undetermined.
Did You Know? Accounts from the former club leadership say the course hosted LPGA events, adding a notable competitive chapter to a property whose next golf use has not yet been decided.
