Overview: Pondok Indah Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout in South Jakarta that achieves a remarkably green, quiet setting inside one of Asia's busiest capitals. Robert Trent Jones Jr. shaped the course around the idea of a partnership between man and nature: lush trees, tropical planting and strategic hazards frame a routing intended to challenge accomplished players without shutting out beginners. The current black-tee scorecard measures 7,243 yards at par 72.
History: Pondok Indah was established on 17 August 1976. The club engaged Robert Trent Jones Jr. to create a course capable of hosting major championships while remaining enjoyable and fair for a wide range of golfers. That brief became part of the course's identity: Pondok Indah hosted the 1983 World Cup of Golf and later served as the golf venue for the 2018 Asian Games, alongside its continuing role as a Jakarta club.
Did You Know? The course's official hole guide calls the 235-yard black-tee eighth its longest and most difficult par three, with a two-tier green, surrounding bunkers and wind adding to the test. The ninth is a 631-yard par five and the longest hole on the official hole-by-hole guide.
