Overview: Poinciana Golf Club gives Lake Worth a compact 18-hole round with a par of 64 and 4,561 yards. Leon Howard's compact layout uses four tee sets, water hazards and bunkers to create a short round that still asks for accurate approaches and controlled scoring.
History: The club's official site dates the course to 1976 and credits Leon Howard with the design. It remains a public facility built around the idea that golfers can see a full 18-hole layout without the length of a championship course.
Did You Know? The course offers four teeing options, so its short overall yardage can be adjusted for different abilities instead of forcing every player to use the same targets.
