Plantation Golf & Country Club

Overview: Plantation Golf & Country Club is a private 18-hole course at 10500 Dartington Drive in Fort Myers. The official scorecard lists a par of 72 and 7,141 yards from the blue tees. The Hurdzan-Fry layout uses rolling fairways, contoured greens, water features and Pinehurst-style bunkering, with chipping areas around the greens adding a short-game emphasis.

History: The course opened in 2007 and was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. It was developed as the golf centerpiece of The Plantation community and remains a private members-and-guests course. The current club describes a layout built around natural beauty, target areas created by fairway rolls and dips, and steep-faced Pinehurst-style bunkers.

Did You Know? The course's bunkers are intentionally described as Pinehurst style: not overly deep, but with steep faces. That design choice, combined with the surrounding chipping areas, makes recovery and short-game placement a central part of the layout.
