Overview: Pinecrest Golf Course was a historical 18-hole executive course at 1200 8th Avenue SW in Largo. Historical course records list 2,235 yards from the back tees and a 1968 opening. Current City of Largo documents identify the property as the former Pinecrest Golf Course and describe its repurposing for stormwater and passive recreation, so this profile is historical rather than a current tee-time listing.
History: Pinecrest opened in 1968 and was listed as a semi-private executive course in historical golf records. The City of Largo purchased the former golf-course property in 2022 and has pursued a regional stormwater conservation area there. Current project documents describe the golf property as former, not as an operating course.
Did You Know? The Largo course was built as an executive layout measuring only 2,235 yards from the back tees, a compact routing designed for shorter play.
