Overview: Pineapple Valley Golf Club Hua Hin presents a championship 18-hole course that plays to par 72 from a hilltop setting south of Hua Hin. Pirapon Namatra shaped the routing through a former pineapple plantation, using rolling ground, elevated tees, broad valley views and the distant Gulf of Thailand to give the round a strong sense of place. The club lists 7,361 yards from the black tees. Its design is varied rather than relentlessly narrow, with water, bunkers, sloping fairways and large changes in elevation asking for careful club selection throughout.
History: The course was established in 2009 as Banyan Golf Club, when Namatra and his Golf East team turned the old plantation into one of Hua Hin’s most recognisable golf landscapes. The property later adopted the Pineapple Valley Golf Club Hua Hin name, bringing the agricultural history of the site into the club identity. The layout has matured without losing the character of its original hillside setting, and the former name remains useful when tracing older course guides and tournament references.
Did You Know? The 15th is the signature hole, a 139-yard par 3 with ocean views toward Singtoh Island. The official hole notes also single out the fourth, where the tee shot must carry roughly 150 yards of water, and the seventeenth, which is described as having one of the largest greens in the region. Those three holes show the course’s range, moving from a bold carry to a scenic short hole and then a huge putting target.
