Overview: As the oldest private club in Arizona, Phoenix Country Club is a historic landmark located in the heart of the city's downtown area. Founded in 1899 and moved to its current site in 1921, the course features a classic parkland design that is a rare find in the Southwest. Redesigned by Tom Lehman and John Fought in 2002, the layout maintains its traditional character with lush, tree-lined fairways and small, well-guarded greens. The club is famous for its elegant Spanish Colonial clubhouse and its deep connection to the history of the PGA Tour in Arizona.
Did You Know? Phoenix Country Club was the original and longtime home of the Phoenix Open, hosting the event from 1932 until 1986. Legends like Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, and Jack Nicklaus all walked these fairways before the tournament moved to its current home at TPC Scottsdale.
