Overview: The Garden Course at PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet brings a parkland interpretation of Melbourne’s Sandbelt to the developing coastal golf destination of Phan Thiet. Official course information lists 18 holes, par 72 and 7,200 yards, with Greg Norman credited as designer of the PGA pair. The routing uses fairway width, green-side shaping and strategic bunkering to make accuracy matter without relying only on length. Its identity is more contained than the Ocean Course, giving golfers a course where the quality of the second shot and the ability to find the right part of a green are central themes.
History: Garden was created as one half of the 36-hole PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet project, which entered operation in 2021. The project was designed to combine golf with a large coastal resort development, but the Garden Course has its own architectural purpose. Its Sandbelt reference and parkland styling distinguish it from the more exposed, links-influenced Ocean routing beside it, allowing the two courses to form a genuine pair rather than duplicate one another.
Did You Know? The official Garden description says a winding water feature crosses several holes on the front nine. It is not presented as a single lake dominating the card, but as a recurring line through the routing that changes the value of different landing areas. The course’s green-side bunkers are also placed close to the putting surfaces, so a good score depends on both accurate tee shots and disciplined approaches.
