Overview: The Ryder Course at PGA Golf Club is an 18-hole public course at 1916 Perfect Drive in Port St. Lucie. The resort's current course facts list a 1996 build, Tom Fazio as designer and 6,826 yards from the Medal tees; the official course material gives the layout a Carolina feel through rolling ground, pine trees and water hazards. It is a strategic public course within the PGA of America's 54-hole destination.
History: Tom Fazio was hired in the mid-1990s to create the Ryder and Wanamaker courses at PGA Golf Club, with the two layouts intentionally designed to feel different on similar flat Florida land. The Ryder course has since been used for PGA and adaptive-golf championships, including the 2024 USDGA Championship and the 2025 PGA Professional Championship rotation.
Did You Know? Ryder is a par-71 course while the neighboring Wanamaker is a par-72, a deliberate contrast within PGA Golf Club. The official course page also describes the Ryder as the less penal of the club's championship courses because its wider fairways and large greens give golfers more recovery room.
