Overview: Located in Kirkkonummi, Finland, just west of Helsinki, the Vanha Peura (Old Deer) Course at Peuramaa Golf is a highly scenic 18-hole parkland and woodland layout. Winding through dense pine forests and open meadows, the course features wide fairways bordered by deep natural ravines, extensive water hazards, and large, subtly contoured greens. The course demands accurate ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature trees.
History: Opened in the early 1990s as the primary championship venue at the Peuramaa complex, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in the Uusimaa region. The facility has hosted multiple Finnish national championships and is highly regarded for its excellent conditioning.
Did You Know? The course is built entirely within a massive, highly protected nature preserve. The designers heavily protected the local native wildlife, ensuring that players can enjoy a round of golf completely undisturbed by modern development.
