Overview: Permata Sentul Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-71 course in Citeureup, Bogor Regency, set in the Sentul hills at about 200 metres above sea level. Current course information gives an approximate 5,843-yard length and credits the Australian design team of Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge and Ross Perrett. The terrain is rolling rather than uniformly steep, with the front nine on lower, flatter ground and the back nine rising to a higher plateau. That change of elevation gives the course a clear two-part rhythm.
History: Permata Sentul was established on 30 August 1997, according to the club's official about page, which also identifies the 18-hole par-71 routing and its designer. The club describes itself as a tourism and recreation business with golf at its centre, and its current reservation information confirms that this remains the Leuwinutug, Citeureup course in the Bogor area. No evidence of a separate second course or a replacement routing was found.
Did You Know? The most useful way to understand Permata Sentul's character is to compare its nines. The opening nine stays closer to low, flatter ground, while the closing nine plays from a higher plateau with more visible contours. That transition is not simply a change in scenery: it alters club selection, the shape of approaches and the value of choosing conservative lines through the later holes. The course's British-influenced design language is most apparent in that strategic use of rolling fairways.
