Overview: Pelican Preserve’s Ibis/Egret combination is an 18-hole private routing at 9802 Pelican Preserve Boulevard in Fort Myers. The black tees are listed at 6,980 yards and par 72. Ibis/Egret uses two of the three Chip Powell nines, combining the broad fairway corridors and preserve surroundings of the club with a route-specific scorecard and rating profile.
History: Pelican Preserve’s 27-hole facility opened in 2002, with Egret, Heron and Ibis available as separate nines. The current club identifies Chip Powell as architect and describes the course as threading through a 1,100-acre community with water, sand and grass hollow hazards. Ibis/Egret is one of three standard 18-hole combinations, alongside Egret/Heron and Heron/Ibis.
Did You Know? Ibis/Egret is the longest of the three recorded black-tee combinations at 6,980 yards. That extra length comes from the particular pairing, not from a separate 18-hole course, which is why route-specific names matter when comparing Pelican Preserve scorecards.
