Overview: Pelican Bay North is an 18-hole public course at 350 Pelican Bay Drive in Daytona Beach. The current official scorecard lists par 72 and 6,526 yards from the blue tees, with Bermuda greens and a layout that moves through waterways, pines, bayberry and white cedars. Elevated tee boxes and long holes give the course more vertical variety than the flat coastal setting might suggest.
History: The North Course was built around 1980 and is credited to Bill Amick. It became part of the Pelican Bay golf community’s two-course offering, alongside the South Course, and the property later changed operating ownership. The course has also appeared in the Daytona Beach area’s Senior PGA Tour history, including the 1984 event noted by the current operator. Older listings quote a longer 6,829-yard back-tee measurement, so the current official scorecard’s 6,526-yard blue-tee figure is used here.
Did You Know? The operator points to the high tiers at the 460-yard 15th and the gauntlet effect at the 230-yard 8th as examples of the North Course’s visual and strategic character. The course is also the only one in this batch with a current official scorecard that gives the exact blue-tee total of 6,526 yards.
