Overview: Palmira Golf & Country Club’s Egret/Ibis combination is an 18-hole private routing in Bonita Springs, one of three combinations at the club’s 27-hole Gordon G. Lewis facility. The current black-tee scorecard record is par 72 and 7,409 yards. The routing uses three named nines, with the choice of combination changing the sequence of holes while preserving Palmira’s private-club character.
History: Palmira’s golf community opened around 2001, and course records credit Gordon G. Lewis with the design. Route-specific Golfify records list the current combinations as opened in 2005, so the facility opening and the later combination record should not be treated as the same date. The Florida State Golf Association lists Egret/Ibis as an official rated combination.
Did You Know? Egret/Ibis is one of three official 18-hole combinations built from Palmira’s Egret, Ibis and Osprey nines. That means the course name describes a sequence through the larger 27-hole design, not a separate permanent 18-hole property.
