Overview: The Alvor/Lagos combination at the world-renowned Palmares Ocean Living & Golf provides a stunning hybrid experience that blends parkland sophistication with the drama of a coastal amphitheater. Completely redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 2010, the Alvor loop (holes 1-9) winds through a rolling parkland setting with tree-lined fairways, while the Lagos loop (holes 10-18) transitions into more open, hilly terrain with several significant water features. Together, they create a championship layout that offers panoramic views of the Alvor Estuary and the Atlantic shoreline from almost every tee.

Did You Know? The resort was designed to maximize its "amphitheatre" setting, meaning that almost 90% of the holes have a direct view of the sea. The Alvor/Lagos routing is particularly famous for its high-elevation starting holes on the Alvor nine, which provide some of the most spectacular photographic vantage points in European golf before descending into the technical, lake-guarded corridors of the Lagos section.
