Overview: North/West is one of three 18-hole combinations at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear. The North nine comes from the Arthur Hills championship design, while Mike Angus’s West nine brings a newer water-oriented character, with water in play on seven of its nine holes according to the operator. The current scorecard lists North/West at par 71 and 6,950 yards from the gold tees. Together the nines produce a varied round that moves from classic desert corridors into a greener, more strategic closing half.
History: Palm Valley began operating in 1993 and developed into a 27-hole public facility as the Goodyear community expanded. The addition of the West nine gave the club a second architectural voice and made three distinct 18-hole routes possible. North/West is a useful example of that evolution: the older Hills design supplies the foundation, while the Angus nine adds more visible water and a different approach to risk and recovery.
Did You Know? The West nine is the water-heavy part of Palm Valley, with water influencing seven of its nine holes. Paired with North, it creates a par-71 route with a noticeably different finish.
