Overview: North/South is the championship 18-hole combination at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear. Arthur Hills designed the North and South nines, while the West nine was added as a separate design by Mike Angus. The current scorecard lists North/South at par 72 and 7,015 yards from the gold tees. The two nines create classic desert golf with broad landing areas, shaped bunkers and a strong balance of par holes, while the location in the West Valley keeps the course close to Phoenix’s major golf and hospitality markets.
History: Palm Valley was open by November 1993 and has grown into a 27-hole facility with three possible 18-hole routes. The North and South courses form the original championship identity, while the West nine adds a more water-rich change of pace. Arcis Golf describes the three combinations as a central part of Palm Valley’s appeal, allowing repeat play to feel different without leaving the Goodyear community.
Did You Know? North/South is the only Palm Valley combination listed at par 72. The pairing also reaches the facility’s longest published gold-tee yardage, making it the traditional championship route.
