Overview: Palm Hills Golf Club & Residence offers a full 18-hole resort round set to par 72 in Cha-Am, within the wider Hua Hin golf destination. Max Wexler designed the layout across gently rolling ground, with the current blue-tee figure listed at about 6,887 yards. Broad Bermuda fairways, palms, frangipani, lakes and a rocky hill backdrop give the course a relaxed visual style, but the greens and water crossings add more difficulty than the open corridors suggest. Its club and residence facilities make it a practical multi-round base for visitors.
History: Palm Hills opened in 1992 and is widely described as the course that helped start Hua Hin’s modern golf boom. Royal Hua Hin had already established the town’s historic connection with the game, but Palm Hills brought a contemporary international-standard resort layout to the area. The current club still presents the Max Wexler design through its undulating fairways, strategically placed hazards and full clubhouse and sports facilities.
Did You Know? The course is arranged along an east-west strip, with lakes at either end and the clubhouse between them. Hundreds of palms frame the playing corridors, while the back nine uses the nearby rise in the land to introduce more hillside lies. That combination explains why Palm Hills can feel partly coastal and partly foothill course within the same 18 holes.
