Overview: Palm Hill Golf Club occupies the Sentul highlands near Bogor, where its 18-hole, par-72 course moves through gently undulating ground with hills rising toward Mount Salak. The official club page credits Tom Matteson and Japan's Taisei Corporation, while GolfLink lists a 7,034-yard total. The layout is forgiving in places because adjacent fairways can offer recovery lines, but that does not make the round featureless: a rocky river divides holes 10 through 15, and water affects several tee shots and landing areas. Bermuda grass is used across the fairways.
History: Published sources place Palm Hill's start in the early 1990s, but they do not agree on one date: GolfLink says it has operated since September 1993, while another current course profile says 1992. The club's ownership and management history is clearer. GolfLink records PT Palm Hill Resort's build-operate-transfer management from 2003 and transfer to PT Sentul Golf Utama in 2010. The 1992/1993 discrepancy is therefore left unresolved rather than turned into a false precise opening year.
Did You Know? The river is not just scenery. It separates the middle stretch of the routing, with crossings on holes 7, 11, 13 and 15, while water also comes into play from the tee or landing area on holes 5, 7, 9 and 18. In the rainy season, the river can run much more strongly, changing the visual and strategic feel of the Sentul round.
