Overview: Padang Golf Sukajadi plays 18 holes to par 72 in the centre of Batam, with the championship tees measuring 6,340 metres, approximately 6,934 yards. The course was originally designed by Thomson, Wolveridge & Perrett and later renovated by PT. Flora Tjipta Sarana. Gently rolling ground, water hazards and Salam Seashore Paspalum give the layout a tropical parkland character, while four tee locations make the same routing readable at different lengths. The attached Radisson Golf & Convention Center also makes it a practical stay-and-play base.
History: The official club dates the opening to 2009 and records the course as semi-private. Sukajadi has since hosted the Indonesia Golf Association Amateur Open in 2010, the Indonesia Ladies Amateur Open in 2015 and the Indonesia Men Amateur Open in 2017. Its central Batam address and the course's connection to the hotel complex remain unchanged in current operator information.
Did You Know? The par-4 sixth is the course's signature test: from the blue tee it measures about 305 metres, climbs toward a green framed by trees and is protected by bunkers on both sides. The 15th is another demanding point, where hillside changes, water features and bunker placement combine to make the safest line more important than an aggressive first impression.
