Overview: The Eikhof course at Ostsee Golf Resort Wittenbeck is a coastal championship layout overlooking the Baltic Sea. The design features rolling hills, water hazards, and large sand traps. Players must contend with shifting sea winds that affect club selection.
History: Designed by Christoph Städler and opened in 2007, the Eikhof course was created to offer a modern test. The project involved routing the holes across a volcanic landscape to maximize panoramic sea views from almost every point on the course.
Did You Know? The layout includes several double fairways and shared green complexes, a modern nod to traditional Scottish links design. The elevation changes provide a viewing point where golfers can see both the sea and the nearby historic steam railway.
