Overview: Orangebrook West is the western 18-hole course at the city-owned Orangebrook Golf & Country Club in Hollywood. The City of Hollywood's scorecard lists par 71 and 6,626 yards from the Gold tees. The flat, walkable layout has open fairways, water in play on seven holes and an extra forward tee under 4,700 yards.
History: Orangebrook's official history says the facility began with 18 holes in 1933 and added a second 18 holes in 1959. The City of Hollywood identifies Red Lawrence's West-course design work with 1955 and records a 2002 greens and tees renovation. Other course records describe the current West course as opening in 1959, so that year is used for the completed 18-hole routing.
Did You Know? Orangebrook West is one half of a 36-hole municipal facility, and the City study lists four tee sets from Gold through Green. The shortest listed setup is 4,680 yards while retaining the same par-71 routing.
