Overview: Orangebrook East is the eastern 18-hole course at the city-owned Orangebrook Golf & Country Club in Hollywood. The course plays to par 72 and 6,574 yards from the blue tees. The City of Hollywood's course study describes generally flat, walkable ground with water hazards in play on six East-course holes.
History: Orangebrook's official history says the property began as an 18-hole facility in 1933 and added a second 18 holes in 1959. A City of Hollywood golf study identifies the East course design as dating to Red Lawrence in 1961. Some commercial listings instead credit A. J. Ewing and 1936 to Orangebrook, so the older course-level conflict is retained in the notes rather than presented as settled fact.
Did You Know? Orangebrook has hosted the Women's International 4-Ball, which the club describes as the longest-running women's amateur event held at one location in the United States. Past champions listed by the club include Babe Zaharias, Peggy Kirk Bell and Louise Suggs.
