Overview: Located near Kolbotn, just south of Oslo, Norway, Oppegård Golfklubb is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course. Winding through dense pine forests and open meadows, the layout features tight fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.
History: Founded in the mid-1990s, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in the Akershus county. The layout was carefully integrated into the rugged terrain, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural landscape and the deep ravines.
Did You Know? The course is built on a highly stable, well-draining sandy subsoil that ensures excellent natural drainage, allowing the fairways to remain firm and playable, providing a high-quality, links-like firmness despite the dense surrounding forest canopy.
