Omni PGA Frisco Fields Ranch (East)

Overview: Fields Ranch East is Gil Hanse's championship course at PGA Frisco in north Texas. The routing works with rolling prairie, dry washes and Panther Creek, using rough-hewn bunkers, smallish greens and strong runoff slopes to create a strategic test. Fairways can look generous from the tee, but approach accuracy determines whether the surrounding contours help or punish.

History: Fields Ranch East opened for play in May 2023 after being designed by Gil Hanse with his associates. It hosted the Senior PGA Championship shortly after opening and is scheduled to host the 2027 and 2034 PGA Championships as well as other major events.

Did You Know? The East Course uses the same fairway grass in the fairway and rough, allowing daily setup to widen or narrow the playing corridors for different events. The course is one half of a 36-hole facility, with Beau Welling's Fields Ranch West providing the other design language.
