Overview: The Mount Washington Course at Bretton Woods runs through the White Mountains beneath Mount Washington. Donald Ross used the mountain valley's broad fairways, forest edges and changing elevation to create a par-72 resort course that remains scenic without abandoning strategic shot values.
History: Donald Ross designed the eighteen-hole Mount Washington Course in 1915. The course was restored in 2007 under Brian Silva using Ross's plans, while the resort's older Mount Pleasant nine is a separate course.
Did You Know? The resort's nine-hole Mount Pleasant Course dates to 1895 and was later redesigned and reopened. It should not be confused with the 1915 Mount Washington Course in this profile.
