Overview: Situated on the shores of Lake Vättern in Östergötland, Sweden, Ombergs Golfklubb is a spectacular 18-hole coastal parkland course designed by Pierre Fulke and Bengt Lorichs. The layout is routed across a high plateau and steep hillsides, featuring dramatic elevation changes, wide fairways, and large, subtly contoured green complexes. Highly exposed to winds sweeping off the massive lake, the course demands strategic positioning and precise distance control.
History: Opened in 2002, the course was built to establish a premier luxury competitive resort in southern Sweden. Fulke and Lorichs carefully routed the 18 holes to maximize the dramatic lakeside topography, creating a layout that quickly achieved national acclaim for its visual beauty and high-quality championship conditioning.
Did You Know? The course offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the pristine blue waters of Lake Vättern from nearly every tee. During the peak of the Swedish summer, players can enjoy the late-night sun glowing dramatically over the massive lake during evening rounds.
