Overview: Olivos Golf Club is a premier parkland golf facility situated in the Ingeniero Pablo Nogués suburb of Buenos Aires. The championship routing is composed of the Blanca and Colorada nine-hole loops, which cut through dense stands of mature native and exotic trees. Narrow fairways, doglegs, and elevated greens protected by deep bunkers require excellent accuracy and control, prioritizing positioning off the tee over sheer distance.
History: The course was designed by Luther Koontz and opened for play in 1953, showcasing his ability to craft strategic holes in flat river-basin terrain. Koontz utilized a dense planting program to define the playing corridors, creating a forest-like setting. The club has served as a frequent venue for the Argentine Open and hosted the World Cup of Golf in 1970.
Did You Know? The club features three nine-hole loops named Blanca, Colorada, and Azul. Golfers can combine them in different pairings, but the Blanca and Colorada combination remains the definitive tournament layout, testing the region's top competitors.
