Overview: Old Waverly Golf Club is a private 18-hole course in West Point, Mississippi, designed by Bob Cupp and Jerry Pate. The routing crosses open pasture and prairie-like ground, with frequent cross bunkers and broad corridors giving the course a distinctive visual language.
History: The course was developed by George Bryan and opened in 1988. Old Waverly has since hosted the 1999 U.S. Women's Open, the 2006 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur, and the 2019 U.S. Women's Amateur.
Did You Know? Old Waverly's cross bunkers are unusually prominent throughout the layout. Their repeated use is one of the clearest architectural signatures of the Cupp and Pate collaboration.
