Overview: Old Tabby Links is a private 18-hole Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay design on Spring Island, South Carolina. Live-oak forest, sandy ground, marsh and tidal water frame a Lowcountry course with little elevation change but demanding lines around the greens.
History: Spring Island records the course as completed in 1992, while other course records describe play beginning in 1993. A major Palmer Design restoration in 2012 rebuilt greens and bunkers and reworked irrigation while preserving the natural setting.
Did You Know? The course takes its name from tabby ruins, an old Lowcountry building material made with lime, sand and oyster shells, found on the Spring Island property.
