Overview: Old Marsh is a private Pete Dye course in Palm Beach Gardens, built across more than 400 acres of marsh and grassland. The low-profile 18-hole layout encourages bump-and-run options and places greens and fairways within a connected wetland landscape. It plays to par 72 at about 7,039 yards, with natural water and wildlife shaping the experience.
History: Old Marsh was established in 1987 after years of wetland setbacks, permitting and construction work on a nature-preserve site. Pete Dye later guided a thoughtful 2016 renovation with members of the Dye family. The club’s maintenance philosophy continues to prioritize the course’s natural marsh character.
Did You Know? The short par-four fifth is Dye’s version of an Alps hole: the approach must clear a large blind mound in front of the green. It is a striking contrast to the otherwise low-profile routing, where the wetlands and open views are intended to remain visible.
