Overview: Old Collier Golf Club is a private Naples course set beside the Cocohatchee River, where native oaks, preserve areas and gentle elevation create a quiet parkland setting. Tom Fazio's 18-hole design uses the site's natural character rather than surrounding it with residential development. The course moves through tree-lined corridors and open green spaces, with the Gulf's cooling influence and the preserved landscape shaping both its atmosphere and its playing lines.
History: Construction records identify completion of the 18-hole course in 2000, while the club's present story emphasises its long-term commitment to pure golf and the preservation of the property. Tom Fazio is the course architect named by the club, and the course was planned as a stand-alone golf environment rather than as the centrepiece of a housing project. In 2021 the Hoffmann Family of Companies acquired the club and continued its preservation-focused direction.
Did You Know? Old Collier shares its 267 acres with a wide range of wildlife, including eagles, ospreys, foxes, gopher tortoises and alligators. The wildlife is part of the property's character because the course was built without residential real estate around it, leaving broad preserve areas within the golf landscape.
