Overview: Okeeheelee Golf Course's Heron/Osprey is an 18-hole public combination of two nines at the Palm Beach County facility in West Palm Beach. Exact combination records publish the route as Osprey/Heron as well as Heron/Osprey and list the longest setup at 6,811 yards and par 72. The wider facility is a parkland setting of three nine-hole loops, lakes, trees and wildlife.
History: Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation owns and operates Okeeheelee's 27 holes. Published course records date the facility to 1995 and credit Roy Case with the design, while the Florida State Golf Association maintains separate rating entries for the nine-hole combinations. The directory's Heron/Osprey identity is therefore preserved as a distinct 18-hole routing within the same public facility.
Did You Know? Heron/Osprey can appear in the reverse order, Osprey/Heron, in scorecard databases because the same two nines may be listed by starting nine or facility convention. Recording the combination name and address together is important here because Okeeheelee also has the separate Eagle nine.
