Overview: Palmer’s eighteen holes play to par 71 in the Mesquite desert, where Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay used elevated tee shots, water, mountain scenery, and roughly 6,982 yards from the longest tees.
History: The Palmer Course was developed as part of the Oasis golf complex in the mid-1990s. Its design team used the natural contours of the Mesquite site and worked with the desert landform rather than imposing a flat resort layout.
Did You Know? A Nevada course guide describes Palmer and Seay walking the site and firing balls into the rocks so the natural contours could help determine the routing. That process is reflected in the course’s uneven desert lies and elevation changes.
