Overview: Oak Tree National is a private Pete Dye course in the countryside north of Edmond, Oklahoma. The routing uses rolling ground, oak woods, water on many holes, deep bunkers and strongly contoured greens to create a par-71 course that demands control in wind and precision around the putting surfaces.
History: Pete Dye built Oak Tree National in 1976 for Landmark Land Company founders Ernie Vossler and Joe Walser. The course later received restoration and refinement work, including a 2009 project by Tripp Davis, and was renamed Oak Tree National in 2009.
Did You Know? The course hosted the 1984 U.S. Amateur, 1988 PGA Championship, 2006 Senior PGA Championship and 2014 U.S. Senior Open. Its name comes from the large oak tree beside the fifth hole.
