Overview: Nukata Golf Club's West Course is the longer of the two 18-hole routings at the Okazaki facility, and this profile follows its A-green setup. The official scorecard lists par 72 and 7,024 yards from the back tees. Broad fairways and a generally generous landing area give the West route an open first impression, but the approach work is more exacting. The course moves through gentle slopes, uses bunkers and water to shape the preferred line, and asks the player to respect uphill approaches that can make a hole play longer than its card suggests.
History: West opened as part of Nukata's original 36-hole operation in June 1974 and is credited to 鈴木正一. Unlike an alternate-green label on a single course, West is a distinct 18-hole routing from East, with its own hole sequence and scorecard. The official club material then divides West into A and B green arrangements. A is the canonical directory record here because its complete current total is published as 7,024 yards.
Did You Know? The official West guide describes the fairways as broad with relatively few out-of-bounds hazards, yet the A-green chart still contains several long par threes and demanding uphill approaches. The 17th is highlighted in the club's own hole notes as the West course's hardest hole, a par three where the uphill ground makes the listed distance play longer and the space between the two greens is the preferred target line.
