Overview: Its official scorecard gives the route 6,602 yards from the back tees, with par 72 over 18 holes. Compared with the longer West Course, East has a more varied sense of movement, with holes that change direction and several places where the player must choose between a direct line and a safer positional route. The course is best approached as a sequence of decisions, especially where trees, out-of-bounds and the shape of the approach green narrow the margin for a loose tee shot.
History: Nukata opened in June 1974 and is credited to 鈴木正一. The club grew into a 36-hole facility with separate East and West routings, each retaining its own scorecard and playing identity. That distinction is important for this directory row: East is not an alternate green on the West course, but one of the two full 18-hole layouts at the same Okazaki address. The current official site continues to publish separate hole guides for both.
Did You Know? The East scorecard contains a full par-72 balance of par threes, fours and fives, but its two nines are not identical in feel. The outward nine is more compact at 3,290 yards from the back tees, while the inward nine stretches to 3,312. That small increase reinforces the course's tendency to demand patient club selection late in the round.
