Overview: Noyac Golf Club is a private William Mitchell course in Sag Harbor, New York, spread across 144 acres of undulating parkland near Noyac Bay. The par-72 routing uses wooded corridors, tight fairways, sloping greens, and changing elevation to create a demanding Long Island test that can stretch beyond 7,000 yards.
History: Noyac was founded in 1963 and originally designed by William Mitchell. In recent years architect Ross Forbes led an extensive renovation that removed selected trees, opened new views and playing windows, and added fescue areas around fairways and greens. The work updated the course without erasing its original identity.
Did You Know? Noyac is named for the local place, whose older Noyack spelling is associated with a point or corner of land. That geography fits the course’s position near Noyac Bay and the eastern Long Island landscape around Sag Harbor.
