Overview: North Wales Golf Club is an 18-hole links on Llandudno's West Shore, where the course runs beside the Irish Sea and the beach. The exposed coastal ground brings wind and firm fairways into the strategy, while the low dunes and open sightlines frame views towards the Conwy Estuary, Anglesey, Snowdonia and the Great Orme. Its compact seaside setting rewards controlled approaches and thoughtful use of the natural contours.
History: The club was founded in 1894 by Tancred D. Cummins. Over more than a century the course has retained its coastal character while undergoing smaller changes associated with housing development and coastal erosion. Its long history has also made it a venue for Welsh competition, including the Welsh Team Championships held during its centenary period.
Did You Know? North Wales Golf Club hosted the Welsh Team Championships in 1995 as part of its centenary celebrations. The event is a reminder that this relatively compact links has served not only as a seaside club course but also as a stage for representative golf in Wales.
