Overview: Niseko Golf Course is an Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole resort layout in Hokkaido, set among forest and open mountain views near Mount Yotei. The current course record gives par 72 and 6,306 yards. The fairways are framed by trees and the surrounding volcanic landscape, while the hole guide shows a round that mixes positional driving with views that repeatedly pull the eye beyond the immediate landing area.
History: The course opened on July 5, 1986, and the current guide credits Arnold Palmer. It was established as part of the Niseko golf destination well before the area became an internationally known four-season resort. The present operator continues to describe the course through Palmer’s design, the forest setting and the mountain outlook rather than treating it as a short hotel add-on.
Did You Know? The fifth hole is played with Mount Yotei as a visual target, while the 16th is an S-shaped long hole. Those two holes explain the course’s appeal in miniature: one uses a famous mountain as a landmark, and the other asks the player to manage shape and position through the fairway.
