Overview: Situated on the rolling hills overlooking the River Barrow valley, New Ross Golf Club is a mature and highly numeric parkland course. While the club dates back to 1905, its current championship layout was significantly refined by Des Smyth and Declan Brannigan. Characterized by its narrow fairways, well-protected greens, and its exceptionally fast putting surfaces, New Ross offers a classic "thinking man's" test in the shadows of the South's historic mountains.
Did You Know? The course is particularly famous for its exceptional natural drainage and its unhurried, traditional atmosphere. Over its century-long history, the club has preserved its 1905 roots while evolving into a modern championship venue, and it is widely regarded as one of the best-conditioned and most technically demanding "short" parkland layouts in the Southeast, requiring extreme strategic touch and precision.
