Overview: Nenagh Golf Club is a historic and highly scenic parkland course situated in North Tipperary. Originally established in 1929 as a 9-hole layout designed by the legendary Alister MacKenzie, the course was later extended to 18 holes by Eddie Hackett. Characterized by its firm, free-draining fairways and its mature tree-lined corridors, Nenagh offers a traditional and technically engaging round that preserves many of MacKenzie's original strategic principles on its well-defended greens.
Did You Know? Alister MacKenzie's redesign of Nenagh was one of his last major projects in Ireland before his move to the United States. His influence is clearly visible in the subtle strategic bunkering and the way the natural undulations of the landscape are used to create a series of "thinking man's" holes that have made it a favorite host for national provincial championships for decades.
