Overview: Mystic Rock is Pete Dye's championship course at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The routing uses the steep, rolling ground of the Laurel Highlands, with elevated tees, broad mountain views and large-scale bunker work shaping the approach to the greens. Its character comes from the relationship between Dye's strategic lines and the site's dramatic changes in elevation.
History: Nemacolin introduced Mystic Rock in 1995 as its first Pete Dye course. The layout later hosted the PGA Tour's 84 Lumber Classic from 2003 through 2006, and the resort undertook bunker work with Tim Liddy in 2021.
Did You Know? The official course page lists Mystic Rock at 7,526 yards and par 72, with a course rating of 77.0 and a slope of 149 from the back tees. The numbers help explain why the mountain setting is part of the playing challenge, not just the scenery.
