Overview: National Golf Country Club is an 18-hole parkland course in Yuanli Township, Miaoli County, set on hilly ground near Huoyan Mountain with views toward the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan's Tourism Administration lists the course at 7,014 yards and par 72; the same description notes a 115-hectare site, three lakes, Bermuda fairways and fast greens. Top100 lists Ron Fream as the course architect.
History: The course was founded in 1995. The club's name changed to National Golf Country Club in 2010 when its resort clubhouse was completed; before that, it was known as National Garden Golf Club. The venue combines the 18-hole course with a resort clubhouse and has continued to publish visitor rates and tournament-standard course information through its official operation.
Did You Know? Ten large bronze sculptures by Taiwanese artist Yang Ying-feng, also known as Yuyu Yang, are placed around the course. The sculptures are an unusual part of the golf setting and are specifically noted in Taiwan's official tourism description of the club.
