Overview: Narumi Country Club sits within Nagoya's Midori ward, where the course's wooded hill setting feels surprisingly removed from the city despite its practical access. The current course record identifies 18 holes, par 70, 5,706 yards and a design by Junji Shiba. This profile follows the A-green directory row. Narumi is not built around championship length. Its character comes from the compact par-70 routing, tree-lined fairways, carefully placed bunkers and the need to shape a controlled approach into greens that can make a short hole demanding.
History: The club's own chronology is unusually helpful. The club chronology records a nine-hole stage in October 1975, a formal 12-hole stage in October 1976, and the present 18-hole layout in September 1991. That makes 1991 the correct year for the current 18-hole course record, while 1975 and 1976 remain important stages in the facility's development. The A and B labels refer to the paired green arrangements on that same routing.
Did You Know? Narumi's par 70 is a direct result of its compact, varied routing rather than a reduced practice layout. The published hole chart uses a par-35 outward nine and a par-35 inward nine, with a mix of par threes and par fives that asks for precise distance control. The club's 18-hole completion in 1991 also means the present course is the final stage of a much longer development story.
